Mike has been working in the education field since graduating in Physical Education in 2000. In 2002, he earned a Masters degree in Sport Pedagogy from BYU. He has coached Cross Country, Track & Field, and Basketball at Mountain View High School. He earned Coach of the Year honors from the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) in 2008 (Girls Track), 2009 (Girls Cross Country), and 2011 (Boys Cross Country), while his teams won 7 state titles.
Mike is the Athletic Director at Timpview High School. He is currently working in his 9th year as an athletic director. He served on the Utah Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (UIAAA) 2nd strategic plan in 2015 and has been a member of the Athletic Directors Executive Committee (ADEC) since 2014. Mike was recently selected to serve on the Credentials committee of the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA). Mike and his wife Melissa have 3 children.
