Welcome To The UIAAA

The mission of the Utah Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association is to develop, promote and preserve the educational values of interscholastic athletics. To serve its members, the UIAAA offers resources, professional development and leadership training. The intent of this Association is to maintain and improve partnerships with the Utah High School Activities Association, National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, businesses and other professional organizations. Furthermore, the UIAAA seeks to instill the highest ideals of ethical character while serving the athletic community.

NEW ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATOR TRAINING Available to all Athletic Directors, Principals, and Assistant Principals with athletic responsibilities. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 UHSAA Offices 199 East 7200 South, Midvale, Utah 84047 8:00 a. m. to 2:30 p. m. Cost: $38.00 All other costs, (besides the $38 Fee) including lunch will be covered by the UIAAA Topics covered are: UIAAA Training LTC 501 ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATION: PHILOSOPHY, LEADERSHIP ORGANIZATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT The flagship course of Leadership Training serves as an overview for interscholastic athletic administration. This course introduces the philosophy of educational athletics then focuses on the roles of the NIAAA, the NFHS, the State Athletic/Activity Associations, and the State Athletic Administrator’s Associations. The course also previews the NIAAA Leadership Training Institute and Certification Program. It is a prerequisite for all levels of certification and includes study materials for the CAA Certification Examination. Enrollees who will derive greatest benefit: Athletic administrators seeking to learn more about educational athletics, national organizations, and those interested in pursuing the certification process. 2016 Conference Reminders

Just a few reminders regarding the conference. 1.   If you are registered or are taking a class Wednesday night,  501 or 627, they begin at 6:00pm. 2.    If you are taking 626 or 508 Thursday morning, they begin promptly at 8 am. 3.   For those who are golfing, you need to check in with Jamie Sheetz at SunBrooke by 7:15 am Friday morning.  Please don’t be late. 4.    If you are a first-time attendee, please consider attending the 1st time attendee meeting at 1:30 pm Friday afternoon.
