2021-22 Winter Sports Team GPAs

The UIAAA is once again asking for your VARSITY Team average GPA’s for winter sports.

This information will be used in rankings for the UIAAA Directors Cup. (The team GPA’s account for 40% of the ranking for the Directors’ Cup)

This information will also be used for the Academic State Champion Award, for each sport and classification. These awards presentations will be made during the winter state tournaments.

Sports and activities included would be: Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Drill, Boys Swimming, Girls Swimming and Wrestling. Please fill out the form and report average GPA’s for each of the sports listed above for VARSITY athletes only. A CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS YEARS. WE ARE ASKING YOU USE THE CUMULATIVE GPA FOR EACH STUDENT WHEN CALCULATING THE TEAM GPA.

Congratulations to last year’s Directors’ Cup recipients; Piute, North Summit, Richfield, Green Canyon, Mountain View and Corner Canyon.

The UIAAA will accept individual team GPA’s between November 8 to December 18, 2021.

Andee Bouwhuis from Bingham Earns CMAA Designation

Congratulations to Andee Bouwhuis, Athletic Director at Bingham High School for earning the designation of Certified Master Athletic Administrator (CMAA).

Andee’s CMAA written project was approved the first week of November.

The CMAA is the highest level of certification offered by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association and indicates continuing education, professional growth and program development in the vocation of interscholastic athletic administration. Certification enhances the ability of the athletic administrator to better serve the school, community and profession.
