Volleyball Coach Quits Over Pressure From Parents – Athletic Business

A high school volleyball coach in Iowa is stepping down over pressure and criticism from parents.

Tori Braby has a winning record at Mount Ayr High School but said the politics of being a coach has affected her quality of life.

“I’ve had a parent send me about 22 emails in one day upset that her student wasn’t playing,” Braby told the local CBS affiliate, adding that parents have complained to her at local stores and waited outside restaurants where she was dining.

Braby has led her team to three conference championships and in seven years won more games than the previous 10 years combined.
